Atlanta is the test market for Chick-fil-A's entry into the competitive meal kit market, becoming the first big U.S. QSR to launch such a service. Mealtime kits will premiere in late August at 150 restaurants around its corporate headquarters in the Georgia city, according to a story first reported on WXIA-TV in Atlanta.
The pre-measured ingredients kits can be ordered via app or at the store with five entrees not sold in stores, including chicken Parmesan, enchiladas, dijon and pan-roasted chicken and flatbread for two for just under $16. Subscriptions are not required.
The chain is testing the program until November before potentially expanding the offerings.
