ATLANTA — Chick-fil-A Inc. is opening a new Truett's Grill restaurant to commemorate chain founder Truett Cathy's 60th year as a restaurateur.
The restaurant opens Oct. 19 in Griffin, Ga., and marks Chick-fil-A's third Truett's Grill location — a concept the chain first introduced in 1996 to recognize Cathy's 50th anniversary in the restaurant industry.
"I'm excited to honor my dad in his 60th year in the restaurant business with the opening of our third Truett's Grill restaurant," said Bubba Cathy, senior vice president for Chick-fil-A Inc. "Our whole family is looking forward to participating in the grand-opening event, and I'm certain that Griffin residents will enjoy the freshly prepared food and 'my pleasure' customer service they will receive."
Truett's Grill is a full-service '50s diner-themed concept that features the full Chick-fil-A menu, as well as select items from Cathy's original Dwarf House restaurant, which he and his brother opened in Hapeville, Ga., in 1946.
