Chick-fil-A tests pimento cheese chicken sandwich

Chick-Fil-A is dipping into an old Southern favorite flavor of pimento cheese in the Honey Pepper Pimento Chicken Cheese sandwich it's testing in select locations, the brand confirmed in an email to QSRweb this morning. The offering includes an original fried chicken filet with pimento cheese, drizzled with honey and served on a toasted bun with pickled jalapeños.

The company said that the sandwich is currently being tested at participating restaurants in the Asheville, North Carolina, and upstate South Carolina areas. A spokeswoman said that customer feedback would help determine if the sandwich will be offered at additional restaurants in the future. Pimento cheese is a longtime favorite Southern sandwich spread and this test item combines it with the other very on-trend items of fried chicken and spiciness.
