Pulling out complexity, while putting in spice is Chipotle's mission at its stores in Charlotte, North Carolina and the entire state of Arizona, which the brand said in a news release will move to a "simpler" menu.
Beginning on Monday, Jan. 13, stores in those two areas will test a modified menu that deletes sausage and the sunflower multigrain bagel from breakfast offerings, while removing original Chick-n-Strips, grilled Cool Wraps and side salads from entrée and sides offerings and decaffeinated coffee from beverages at those stores.
Likewise, the following items will come in one size in Charlotte and Arizona:
The brand told customers on its website Friday that those changes, and others involving some new items in Charlotte restaurants, are being tested "to see if it improves your experience in our restaurants."
In Charlotte stores, the brand will also begin testing spicy Chick-n-Strips, a grilled Spicy Deluxe Sandwich and the Spicy Chick-n-Strips Biscuit on Jan. 13. Chick-fil-A did not say how long those items would be available in Charlotte locations.
