Chick-fil-A to award $6M in grants

Chick-fil-A will award $6 million in grants to 56 nonprofit organizations as part of its True Inspiration Awards program this year, according to a press release.

The company marks a milestone year as it awards its first-ever Singapore-based grant.

"Serving is at the heart of what we do, and the True Inspiration Awards reflect our belief that strong communities are built through consistent, caring action," Andrew T. Cathy, CEO for Chick-fil-A, Inc., said in the release.

"These organizations inspire us with their relentless commitment to serve, innovate and uplift the people and communities around them. We're proud to support their work and invest in a stronger future for people and places around the world."

Each year, Chick-fil-A selects an S. Truett Cathy Honoree, awarding the largest grant to an organization that embodies the innovative and entrepreneurial spirit of Chick-fil-A's late founder, S. Truett Cathy. This year Faith Kitchen was selected. The San Antonio-based nonprofit's 45-year mission has been to feed those who are experiencing homelessness a hot, nutritious meals three times per day.

"Faith Kitchen shows unwavering compassion to our neighbors in San Antonio," Greg Patterson, local owner-operator of Chick-fil-A Potranco Road, Chick-fil-A Hwy 151 & Military and Chick-fil-A Alamo Ranch Marketplace, said in the release. "Their commitment to welcoming every guest with dignity and providing dependable meals and support has a profound impact on our community. It's why I nominated them to receive this grant and it's an honor to see their good work recognized."

The application cycle for the 2027 True Inspiration Awards program is now open and will close on May 1.
