Chick-fil-A is betting on cool and creamy again this spring with a new seasonal offering that blends the brand's vanilla "Icedream" and orange juice into a Creamsicle-like concoction that the brand calls Frosted Sunrise. The LTO follows a successful test in Jacksonville, Florida, last fall and will be available until June 2, a news release said.
This rendition follows the success of the brand's frosted lemonade, which was added to the menu in 2015. It's popularity prompted Chick-fil-A to add frosted coffee the next year, combining cold-brewed iced specialty coffee and Icedream. Last year brought frosted strawberry lemonade.
All the creamy blends featuring the chain's signature "Icedream," a spinoff of founder Truett Cathy's vanilla-flavored dairy treat.
"Our seasonal Icedream offerings have become customer favorites over the last few years," Senior Director of Menu Development Amanda Norris, said in the release.
The 320- to 390-calorie (depending on size) drinks are being billed as having fewer calories than milkshakes. Prices start at $2.85.
