Church's Chicken debuts strawberry shortcake

Church's Chicken has launched its own version of a classic Southern dessert. The new Church's Strawberry Shortcake is made with the restaurant's signature honey-butter biscuit topped with strawberries in strawberry sauce and, in keeping with tradition, is finished with a tower of whipped cream.
The new dessert is available at Church's Chicken nationwide for $1.29. Also available with the purchase of any regular-priced family box, are four strawberry shortcakes for $3.99.
"We listened to our guests and knew the time was right to offer a dessert that would complement our signature meals," said Tony Lavely, CMO, Church's Chicken, in a news release. "The strawberry shortcake has been in our stores for a month and our guests keep coming back for more each time they visit."
This is the first new dessert to grace the menu in several years. The launch is part of the company's plan to add new menu offerings and continue providing fresh, high quality and flavorful food for its guests.
