Church's Chicken names new president of U.S. operations

Church's Chicken today introduced John F. Bowie as new president of U.S. operations. Bowie will be in charge of overseeing all company and franchise operations in the U.S.

"John's QSR experience, expertise and solid track record for delivering results will be a catalyst in driving relentless satisfaction for our customers and franchisees," said Mel Deane, CEO of Church's Chicken. "We look forward to his future contributions in creating superior value for all of our stakeholders."

Since 2007, Bowie served as senior vice president of restaurant operations for Friendly's Ice Cream Corporation, where he was responsible for the overall operation of more than 500 restaurants.

Before 2007, Bowie worked for Wendy's International for 13 years in marketing, international and general management.

Bowie graduated from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University. He received his MBA from the University of Notre Dame.
