Church's Chicken outsources financials to overseas firm

ATLANTA — Church's Chicken announced a world-wide partnership with WNS Global Services, a leading offshore business process outsourcing (BPO) provider.

 

The partnership initially will focus on finance and accounting processes for restaurants owned by Church's throughout the world. The relationship between Church's and WNS signifies the first time a U.S. restaurant company has outsourced 100 percent of its financial and accounting processes overseas.

 

According to a news release, WNS will handle functions such as accounts receivables, accounts payables, bank account reconciliation and general ledger maintenance. As part of the deal, WNS also will maintain the Enterprise Resource Planning platform that provides both technology and processing services for the finance and accounting functions that are being outsourced. This business practice is a growing trend among small and medium enterprises like Church's.
