Everything old is new again at several QSR brands this week, beginning with Church's Chicken, which announced grand re-openings of two of its Odessa, Texas stores, operated by franchisee, Ampler Chicken, which has more than 70 units of the brand in Texas and New Mexico.
The store on Dixie Boulevard will re-open today, while the second on Andrews Highway opens Oct. 12, according to a news release. Both locations have updated design and décor, new seating options, exteriors and colors.
"Ampler is committed to growing the Church's brand and re-imaging our existing locations," Ampler Chicken LLC President Mike Collins, said in the release. "We want the residents of Odessa to know that we are dedicated to investing in the community in which they live, work, and play, and we will continue our support of the neighborhoods around our restaurants to ensure success for the businesses and to create jobs in the areas we serve."
Guests will find that the restaurants feature attractive new design and décor elements, which include Church's latest interior seating options, new exterior design and color palettes, and contemporary lighting inside and out.
Meanwhile, in Frederick, Maryland earlier this month, Roy Rogers opened its newly renovated store at Ballenger Creek with new exterior signage highlighting the brand's "Holy Trio" of roast beef, burgers and chicken, that CEO Jim Plamondon recently discussed in-depth on the QSRweb podcast.
The new design also features stone towers that play up a rustic, but still modern feel. Inside, the store has more varied seating, updated artwork, electronic charging stations, a large community table, and a new digital menu board. The Ballenger Creek restaurant serves as the test kitchen and training site for the Frederick-based chain and is the chain's second restaurant to be outfitted with these new features, but renovations to additional sites are planned.
In celebration of the milestone, Roy Rogers donated $500 to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation during the ribbon-cutting event, and held a fundraiser for the foundation later that day.
