Texas Chicken, the international branch of Church's Chicken, struck a deal to bring its restaurants to malls, inline locations and stand-alone stores throughout Thailand, marking its single largest international expansion, the company said in a press release. Of the 70 planned restaurants, one is slated to open this year, and two more are nearing construction. The company's agreement with Public Company Limited, the Petroleum Authority of Thailand, will leverage PTT's existing infrastructure throughout the region, as well as its experience in operations and the QSR industry.
"The Texas Chicken brand story has resonated in the Southeast Asia market for a long time," Chief Development Officer Tony Moralejo, Texas Chicken, said in a statement . "We are honored to be working with another great company to share Texas Chicken's high-quality food, which customers love, throughout the region."
