Cinnabon celebrates nurses with giveaway

To celebrate Nurses Week, May 6-12, Cinnabon will give away a free classic cinnamon roll or Minibon Roll to all nursing professionals.

According to a news release, Cinnabon makes the week in honor of the late J. Patrick Barnes. While Barnes was sick, he requested Cinnabon Cinnamon Rolls and insisted on sharing them with the nurses who cared for him. In the 14 years since his passing, Cinnabon has been the lead sponsor of The DAISY Foundation, established by Barnes' family to honor his caregivers.

"The Cinnabon brand is committed to serving those that serve others," Kristen Hartman, VP of Marketing at Cinnabon, said in the release. "Nurses Week provides us that opportunity. It's an honor to spread sweetness in recognition of the work nurses do for patients and families every day."
