Cinnabon counting on specialty-drink boost

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution: Cinnabon is one of several quick-serves focusing on its specialty beverages. The chain is testing a new store design in Houston that uses a "Cinnabar" section to highlight its beverages in hopes of capturing more sales. Beverages make up about 20 percent of sales at a typical outlet, and Cinnabon hopes to push that to 25 percent to 30 percent as it talks with potential beverage partners to help expand its offerings.
