Cinnabon marks 100th Pilot Flying J location

Cinnabon is celebrating its 100th Pilot Flying J travel center location. The milestone outlet opened Aug. 1 at the Pilot Travel Center in Mebane, N.C.

According to a news release, this partnership dates back to 2011, when Cinnabon debuted in a Pilot Flying J in Knoxville, Tenn. Of the 100 locations, nearly 40 bakeries opened in 2013. The brands expect that by the end of 2015, an estimated 150 Pilot Flying J locations will feature Cinnabon products.

"Travel centers and plazas are an exciting growth vehicle for the Cinnabon brand," Cinnabon President Kat Cole said in the release. "We are thrilled to spread our footprint across accessible venues for those looking for a moment of satisfaction amid their busy schedules."

Pilot Flying J was the first venue to nationally roll out the newest Cinnabon menu item, CinnaSweeties.
