Cinnabon has struck up a novel approach to getting the brand out to the masses through a partnership with Holiday Inn Express. The relationship will put Cinnabon's Sweet Rolls exclusively on breakfast bars at more than 650 Express locations nationwide, a news release said.
The rolls, which feature Cinnabon Makara cinnamon, brown sugar and cinnamon schmear and Cinnabon's signature cream cheese frosting, are served warm to drowsy travelers as they get their days started.
"Partnering with Holiday Inn Express is a natural way to bring Cinnabon offerings to guests outside of our bakery," said Cinnabon parent company, Focus Brands Senior Vice President of Global Channels Dave Mikita.
The hotel chain, last year, introduced a revamped breakfast bar with egg white omelets and a new pancake recipe. But the chain wanted to keep one of its breakfast staples among the offerings.
"A Holiday Inn Express breakfast staple is the classic cinnamon roll and our partnership with Cinnabon brings a new recipe our guests will love," Global Holiday Inn Express Vice President of Mainstream Growth Jennifer Gribble said in the release.
The sweet rolls will be offered at 1,600 of the lodging chain's locations by the end of the year.
