Cinnabon Inc. plans to significantly expand its footprint in Missouri, including the greater St. Louis metro area, by opening five mall-based franchise bakeries in the coming months.
Cinnabon, which currently has 10 locations throughout the state, is seeking franchisees to develop bakeries in the following malls located in Missouri and bordering areas in Illinois:
"The number one request we hear from Cinnabon guests in Missouri is to make it easier for them to enjoy our indulgent treats," said Kat Cole, president of Cinnabon. "We are confident we will attract qualified franchisees to fulfill the high demand for Cinnabon in the state."
The Cinnabon brand's real estate team has pre-qualified the sites and are ready for immediate development. Additionally, Cinnabon executives have leveraged their relationships with mall owners to pre-negotiate lease agreements on behalf of prospective franchise candidates.
Interested franchisee candidates are invited to attend a Discovery Award Day event on Sept. 20 at the St. Louis Marriott West in Chesterfield, Mo. To register for the event, visit cinnabonfranchising.com/discoveryawardday or call 404-257-7076.
Louisiana growth also on the horizon
Additionally, Cinnabon is looking for franchisees to develop in the Mall of Louisiana and three other in-state malls. According to The (Baton Rouge) Advocate, the chain had a Louisiana presence up until about five years ago and is looking to return.
Cole said the franchising opportunity in Louisiana represents one of Cinnabon's largest untapped markets.
