Gourmet cinnamon roll QSR, Cinnaholic, said it's in something of a growth spurt, having signed 16 more franchise agreements already this year, while also opening five stores with plans to open 10 more by year's end, according to a news release.

Cinnaholic is focused on a product of what it calls "gourmet plant-based cinnamon rolls," first made public on ABC's reality show, Shark Tank. Today, the total number of open locations for the chain stands at 56, with 60 more in development. Additionally, the brand has seen a 137% increase in year-over-year same-store sales, with Mother's Day and Valentines Day proving to be the highest-grossing sales days of this year.

"The pandemic still has its impacts on our locations with restrictions or store closings, but we have done an amazing job as a franchise system to rise to the challenge so that our fans are able to get the desserts that they've fallen in love with, and our franchisees remain successful," Cinnaholic President Spencer Reid, said in the release. "As a result, many of our franchisees have had a great year thus far, and we look forward to the opportunities to come."

Cinnaholic is seeking qualified single-unit and multi-unit investors in a range of market sizes throughout the United States and Canada. The brand said it's the only gourmet bakery that lets customers select their frosting and topping choices. The brand is based in Atlanta.
