CKE announces key executive hires

CARPINTERIA, Calif. — CKE Restaurants Inc. hasannounced today several key hires for its Carl's Jr. and Hardees brands.
Noah Griggs has been appointed to the role of executive vice president of training for both its Carl's Jr. and Hardee's concepts. Griggs had served as executive vice president for Hardee's company-restaurant operations since 2000.
Griggs joined Hardee's Food Systems in July 1996 as vice president of quality and standards, and subsequently served as senior vice president of operations. As EVP of training for Carl's Jr. and Hardee's, Griggs will oversee creation and updating of education, operations training, and leadership development programs.
Bob Starke has been named executive vice president of operations for Hardee's company-operated restaurant locations. Starke served under Griggs as senior vice president of operations since 2002, and has worked for the company since 1975.
And Steve Evans has been named senior vice president of operations for Hardee's franchise-operated restaurant locations.

As of the fourth fiscal quarter ended Jan. 29, 2007, CKE Restaurants Inc., through its subsidiaries, had a total of 3,105 franchised or company-operated restaurants in 43 states and in 13 countries, including 1,087 Carl's Jr. restaurants, 1,906 Hardee's restaurants and 96 La Salsa Fresh Mexican Grill restaurants.
