CKE Restaurants adds payment management system for remodels

CKE Restaurants Inc., parent company of Hardee's and Carl's Jr., has implemented Textura Corporations Construction Payment Management (CPM) system to electronically manage the payment and lien waiver collection for all construction and remodels of the Carl's Jr. restaurants.

Textura's solutions include construction payment management, Textura-CPM, and for pre-qualification, Textura-PQM. Textura-CPM integrates all construction payment management process components into one seamless work flow, helping owners, general contractors, subcontractors and others involved in construction projects realize benefits from automation and streamlining.

Textura-PQM automates the entire pre-qualification process by facilitating the electronic submission, review, approval and updating of all pre-qualification documents.

"CKE has developed a consistent repeatable process for the new construction and remodeling of our restaurants; Textura-CPM is key component of that formula," said David Luxton, CKE's vice president of Construction. "For us, CPM standardizes the process as well as the invoices that we receive from many different contractors working on CKE projects across the U.S. For our contractors, CPM provides efficiencies through the electronic billing and lien waiver collection process. Additionally, CKE's project managers can follow the billing process through Textura's system, allowing them to verify any required conditional and unconditional waviers and match the reported billings. This facilitates the approval process, ensures correct payments and eliminates the need for paper.

Patrick Allin, Textura's chairman and CEO, added that, since the implementation, CKE has experienced accelerated workflow, better communication and enhanced visibility into the draw process with general and subcontractors.
