CKE Restaurants begins annual Stars for Heroes program

CKE Restaurants, parent company of Carl's Jr. and Hardee's, has launched its Stars for Heroes campaign, which raises money for active military and veterans in need according to a press release.

The fundraiser runs from Memorial Day, May 29, through July 4. Restaurant guests will have the option to donate $1 or more at the register.

"At CKE Restaurants, we are privileged to work alongside veterans in our communities and restaurants every day. As a veteran myself, I am thrilled to launch Stars for Heroes to show our support for them and our sincere gratitude for their service," Christopher Bode, COO of CKE Restaurants, said in the press release. "U.S.A. Cares and the Stand Up and Play Foundation have been tremendous partners in this work, and we look forward to another great campaign this year."

Anthony Netto, founder of Stand Up and Play Foundation expresses the impact of the Stars for Heroes campaign on the organization.

"Our organization understands the importance of volunteers and those who donate their time and effort to helping veterans play adaptive sports," Netto said in the press release. "This campaign is a wonderful way for the community to get involved and contribute to improving the lives of veterans in a small way."

Carl's Jr. Restaurants LLC and Hardee's Restaurants LLC have more than 3,800 franchised or company-operated restaurants in 44 states and 43 foreign countries and U.S. territories.
