CKE to restate results
February 27, 2007
CARPINTERIA, Calif. — CKE Restaurants Inc., parent company of the Carl's Jr. and Hardee's restaurant chains, will restate its results for Fiscal Year 2006 due to an 'inadvertent computational error", the company announced Feb. 27.
The company overstated its income tax benefit for the year by approximately $16 million, resulting in an overstatement of the company's net income by the same amount.
CKE officials said they weren't aware of any evidence that the error was due to noncompliance with any financial reporting requirements or misconduct. No other years would be affected, they said.
