Co-branded Marble Slab, Great American Cookies opens on USC campus

Global Franchise Group LLC has opened a co-branded Great American Cookies and Marble Slab Creamery establishment in the Russell House University Union on University of South Carolina's main campus. This flagship co-branded store located in Russell House student union building offers treats to both students and faculty.

"College campuses are the perfect target audience for our brands," said John Barber, chief development officer, Global Franchise Group. "Our co-branded Russell House location not only offers a wide variety of fresh made products, but Cookie Cakes and ice cream cakes are also available for on campus celebrations, making the host concession company extremely happy with results."

GFG expects to expand its treat concepts to other universities and colleges.

Geri Fields is the franchise owner of the Russell House location.

"Our co-branded store has proved to be a successful new franchise venture — sales have surpassed expectations and are continuing along that trend," Fields said.

Approximately 30,000 students attend The University of South Carolina.
