Cold Stone Creamery introduces to-go options

April 11, 2006

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — Cold Stone Creamery said it will introduce Cold Stone To Go April 1.

According to a news release, each to-go "Creation" is made-to-order with dozens of options of ice cream flavors and mix-ins and packed into one of the new containers named Mine (pint), Ours (quart) and Everybody's (48 oz.).

"Cold Stone To Go is the antithesis of the stale grocery store ice cream — it's really the answer to creating a personalized ice cream experience either at home or out celebrating," said Kevin Myers, vice president of marketing and sales for Cold Stone Creamery.

Also debuting in April, Cold Stone Creamery has created an ice cream cake in honor of Mother's Day, called Mom's Strawberry Sensation. The new cake combines strawberry ice cream, chocolate shavings and strawberry puree spread between rich layers of red velvet cake.

Mom's Strawberry Sensation is available in stores across the country April 1 through May 14. A small round cake serves eight and retails for $21.99 -- although prices vary per region.
