Cold Stone Creamery announced it will enter Central America with the first store planned for El Salvador in Q4. Parent company Kahala Brands has signed a master franchise agreement with CMR Global S.A., part of GP Restaurants, to make its Central American debut.

The first location will be in El Salvador’s Multiplaza Mall, according to a news release.

"They have a strong leadership team that is rooted deep in local market knowledge and restaurant operations experience. Our Cold Stone Creamery brand is the perfect fit to add to their growing portfolio."

GP Restaurants represents more than 15 brands with more than 160 restaurants across El Salvador, Panama, Guatemala and Costa Rica.
