Cold Stone introduces fro-yo shakes

Cold Stone Creamery has launched a limited time promotion of Creations and shakes made from its low-fat, low-calorie yogurt.

The items are made with vanilla, chocolate or raspberry yogurt flavors, and are paired with fruits, pie crust, fudge and other mix-ins.

"Cold Stone is known for our distinctive, gratifying Creations and shakes that are made from the perfect combinations of ice cream and mix-ins," said Ray Karam, Cold Stone Creamery's senior Tastemaster. "Our Creations and shakes are craved by the masses and we wanted to fulfill that craving for our frozen yogurt fans as well."

The new offerings include:

• Strawberry Crumble: Vanilla yogurt mixed with strawberries and graham cracker pie crust;
• Chocolate Banana Indulgence: Chocolate yogurt mixed with bananas and fudge;
• Berries Upon Berries: Raspberry yogurt mixed with strawberries and blueberries;
• Shake Them Berries: Vanilla yogurt blended with strawberries, raspberries and blueberries; and
• Powered By Chocolate: Chocolate yogurt blended with fudge.

Cold Stone announced a nationwide rollout of frozen yogurt in July of 2011. Karam developed a proprietary sweet and creamy yogurt recipe instead using pre-packaged mixes.
