Comps up at CKE brands

CARPINTERIA, Calif. — Same-store sales at Carl's Jr. restaurants rose 2.2 percent for the four-week period ended April 23 compared with a same-store sales increase of 1.3 percent for the same period last year, parent company CKE Restaurants Inc. announced.
Year-to-date comps for the Carl's Jr. brand are up 0.2 percent, compared with an increase of 5.2 percent this time last year.
Comps at CKE's Hardee's brand are up 2.4 percent for the four-week period, compared with a increase of 2.9 percent for the same period last year. Year to date, comps are up 2.3 percent compared with an increase of 4.8 percent this time last year.
The increase marked the 18th consecutive period of positive comps for the Hardee's brand.
