CORE provides grants to restaurant employees

May 13, 2020

CORE, otherwise known as the non-profit Children of Restaurant Employees, that helps restaurant employees' families facing health crises and other issues, said this year it has granted some $350,000 in aid across 49 states, mostly in the past six weeks, according to an email.

The organization wanted to remind any qualifying restaurant employee that they can apply for grants to cover any number of expenses, from rent or mortgage and medical bills to diapers and formula.

To apply for grant money from CORE or refer a family for aid, go online to https://coregives.org/. All the prompts on the page will direct applicants to the form they need to complete to begin the process of obtaining assistance.

And of course, donations are also welcome to assist in the cause. Since 2004, CORE has raised more than $6 million and granted support to more than 700 families from across the industry and the country.
