Could Chick-fil-A be forced to open on Sundays? A bill introduced in New York could force the chicken giant to open its seven locations in state rest stops, according to a USA Today report.
The brand is famously open Mondays through Saturdays and is closed on Sundays across the country, giving employees time to worship and rest as part of founder S. Truett Cathy's building principles.
Bill A08336 would require the brand to open, along with other food services, in rest stops along the state's Interstate 90.
"Our requirement is that we have at least one hot food option available," New York State Thruway spokesperson Jennifer Givner, told the news outlet. "If Chick-fil-A is closed on Sundays we have other alternatives for our customers."
