CRA sues to block Santa Clara County calorie-count rule

Silicon Valley/San Jose Business Journal: TheCalifornia Restaurant Associationhas filed suit against Santa Clara County in an effort to stop a new requirement that chain restaurants include calorie counts on menus.
In June, the Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors unanimously approved the ordinance that is expected to affect only six restaurants.The legislation, which is scheduled to go into effect Sept. 1, affects restaurant chains with 14 or more locations in unincorporated areas of California.
