Culver's "Day of Giving" exceeds fundraising goal
June 9, 2009
PRAIRIE DU SAC, Wis. – Culver's Restaurants in 17 states raised more than $210,000 for local charitable organizations during its national "Day of Giving" fundraising event, May 12, exceeding the national goal of $200,000 given to local organizations.
Nearly 400 Culver's restaurants raised the funds through a 10 percent of sales donation along with canister donations given by guests. During the "Day of Giving," each local charity had an opportunity to communicate its mission, raise funds and promote volunteer support in-store at Culver's restaurants.
Members of the local organizations were on hand to answer questions and discuss how guests' contributions directly impact the local community. One hundred percent of the money raised at each locally owned and operated restaurant goes directly to the local charitable organization.
