Culver’s honors top restaurant managers

Culver Franchising System Inc. honored its “True Blue” team members for leadership and excellence at its annual convention in Nashville, Tenn., in late February.

At the event, Chad Stevenson, owner of nine Culver’s restaurants in Wisconsin and Indiana received the 2011 GM Culver Award. The award, named after Culver’s co-founder George Culver, is the highest honor in the organization and recognizes an individual who has demonstrated long-term visionary leadership and success.

Additionally, 10 Culver’s restaurant managers received Excellence in Leadership Awards for their execution, development and positive financial results. They include:

  • Terri Agate, Huntley, Ill.
  • Marissa Aron – Spring Green, Wisc.
  • Cathy Broesamle -  Anoka, Minn.
  • Sarah Elliot – Middleton, Wisc.
  • Don Fong – Bloomington, Minn.
  • Joshua George – Fond du Lac, Wisc.
  • Jesse Jarrett – Zion, Ill.
  • Anna Lohmann – Fond du Lac, Wisc.
  • Tammy Provisor – Stevens Point, Wisc.
  • Tammy Sanderson – Traverse City, Mich.

Also at the convention, the annual Culver’s Grill Master Competition was held, featuring Culver’s bun and grill teams competing in the categories of food quality, accuracy and food safety. The top three finishers were:

  • First place – Matt Squires, David Brewer and Rodney Martin, Powell, Ohio
  • Second place – Chris Robbin, Jose Corona and Vicki Simon, Sycamore, Ill.
  • Third place – Kristin Orlando, Evan Harbridge and Jon Laundrie, Whitewater, Wisc.
