PRAIRIE DU SAC, Wis. — Culver's restaurants has announced it has raised more than $75,000 for local American Red Cross chapters to aid in Midwest disaster relief efforts.

On July 1, 2008, more than 100 Culver's restaurants in Cedar Rapids, Quad Cities and Des Moines, Iowa; Madison and Milwaukee, Wis.; and Rockford, Ill., raised the funds through a 10 percent of sales donation. Additional funds were collected from individual customer donations.

Culver's restaurants in Indianapolis contributed $28,000 to the Red Cross collection via customer donation canisters June 18, taking Culver's total donation up to more than $100,000.

The money raised at each locally owned and operated restaurant will stay in the community to help the Red Cross support the areas recently affected by the weather-related disasters across the Midwest.
