Dairy Queen has opened a DQ Orange Julius store in Muskegon, Mich., the first in Muskegon County.
The new restaurant offers Dairy Queen soft-serve treats and cakes as well as Orange Julius products, including fruit beverages and smoothies. In addition, the store also will serve Iron Grilled Sandwiches.
"I am thrilled to have the first DQ Orange Julius store in Muskegon open and ready to serve our customers," said operator Amanda Williams, who owns two other locations in Allendale and Grand Rapids, Mich. "The Dairy Queen system is the worldwide treat leader and we've paired an innovative exciting design with a fabulous selection of cravable treats, including all of the Dairy Queen and Orange Julius favorites."
Additionally, the Dairy Queen system has opened a new location in Frisco, Texas. The 2,900-square-foot restaurant has added 45 new jobs in the area.
The new unit is operated by Richard Witherspoon, who has been a Dairy Queen franchisee for 40 years. This marks the second location in Frisco and the fifth DQ location for Wetherspoon.
The location features a menu created in partnership with Texas Country Foods, such as quarter- and half-pound Hungr-Busters made to order, Texas T-Brand Tacos, Grilled and Crispy Chick'n Sandwiches, Steak Sandwiches and the Chick'n Strip or Steak Finger Country Basket. It also features DQ signatures such as Blizzard Treats, cakes and MooLatte frozen coffee.
