Dairy Queen brings back Candy Cane Chill Blizzard as featured Blizzard of the Month

The Candy Cane Chill Blizzard Treat, Candy Cane Chill Waffle Cone Blizzard Treat and the Candy Cane Chill Royal Shake will all be available Nov. 29 through Dec. 31.

Dairy Queen announced today the return of the Candy Cane Chill Blizzard Treat as the featured Blizzard of the Month for December.

Available at participating Dairy Queen and DQ Grill & Chill restaurants nationwide beginning Nov. 29 through the month of December, the Candy Cane Chill Blizzard Treat is a combination of crushed peppermint candy cane pieces and choco chunks mixed with vanilla soft serve.

The Candy Cane Chill Waffle Cone Blizzard Treat and the Candy Cane Chill Royal Shake, a blend of whipped topping and peppermint candy cane pieces, will also be available.

"Like pumpkin in the fall, peppermint is a hot flavor in December and that's why our Candy Cane Chill Blizzard Treat and family of treats are so popular," said Barry Westrum, executive vice president of Marketing for American Dairy Queen Corporation (ADQ), in a company press release. "Candy Cane Chill is aptly named, particularly for harried shoppers who want a break. They can come in to their DQ restaurant and chill, literally, and enjoy a Candy Cane Chill Blizzard Treat."

Many Blizzard Treat flavors, including the minty Candy Cane Chill, can be made into DQ Cakes, perfect for Christmas, Hanukah, New Year's, birthdays, anniversaries and more.
