Dairy Queen opens in Bloomington, Minnesota

Dairy Queen has opened a location in Bloomington, Minnesota. The store will host a community event Nov. 4 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. The location is operated by Fourteen Foods, according to a press release.

"We are pleased to have the opportunity to add another location to the Bloomington community," Matthew Frauenshuh, Fourteen Foods CEO, said in the release. "Bloomington is known for its sense of community. This mirrors our promise to invest in our people and our communities, and we are excited about the opportunity for continued growth in Bloomington with people who have a passion for service and hospitality."

Frauenshuh first joined Dairy Queen in 2002 and quickly grew the company's portfolio to include more than 230 locations across 13 states.

Dairy Queen operates more than 7,000 locations in the U.S., Canada and more than 20 other countries.
