Dairy Queen opens third unit this month

The Dairy Queen system has opened its newest DQ Orange Julius store within "The Block at Orange" in Orange, Calif.

The location offers Dairy Queen's soft-serve signatures, including the Blizzard, as well as Orange Julius products including fruit beverages and smoothies.

"I am thrilled to have the DQ Orange Julius store in Orange open and ready to serve our customers," said operator Sai Hossain, who also operates a DQ Grill & Chill restaurant in Camarillo, Calif.. "The Dairy Queen system is the world-wide treat leader and we've paired an innovative exciting design with a fabulous selection of cravable treats including all of the Dairy Queen and Orange Julius favorites."

Grill & Chills also open

Earlier this month, the DQ Grill & Chill concept expanded in Bloomington, Minn., and Green Park, Mo.

The Bloomington restaurant marks the eighth location for franchisee Charles Anderson, who also owns restaurants in Fargo, N.D., Wahpeton, N.D., and Moorhead, Minn.

The Green Park restaurant is operated by Brian Brown.

Both include GrillBurgers, Iron Grilled Sandwiches, a Grilled Chicken Sandwich and Chicken or Crispy Shrimp Baskets. They also feature Dairy Queen soft-serve signatures, such as the Blizzard, MooLatte frozen blended coffee beverages, cakes and waffle bowl sundaes, as well as Orange Julius smoothies and blended beverages.
