Dairy Queen made its official debut in Manhattan Thursday, with its new location at 54 West 14th Street, between 5th and 6th avenues.
“This opening is certainly a long time in coming, but is well worth the wait,” CEO John Gainor said in a news release. “Our fans have been requesting that we open in Manhattan, so we are thrilled to finally be here.”
The new DQ Grill & Chill restaurant offers the brand’s signature soft-serve and a full line of Orange Julius fruit-blended beverages. The Manhattan location is the only two-story DQ Grill & Chill restaurant in the country. The 2,500-square-foot location seats more than 100.
LSQ Foods operates the Manhattan location, and the company plans to expand in Manhattan with the DQ brand. In 2013, Dairy Queen also opened a DQ Grill & Chill restaurant in Massapequa and the Staten Island Ferry Terminal.
