Dairy Queen’s bacon cheeseburger added to value menu

Throughout July, the Dairy Queen system will include the new bacon cheeseburger on its $5 Buck Lunch menu. To launch the offering, the brand is hosting a "Bring Home the Bacon" sweepstakes that gives fans the chance to win $5,000.

According to a news release, from today through July 31, fans can email a copy of receipts for the purchase of five bacon cheeseburger $5 Buck Lunches along with their name and contact information to baconcheeseburger@dq5bucklunch.com for the chance to win.

"America loves bacon. That’s why we’ve added the bacon cheeseburger to our $5 Buck Lunch menu offerings this month," EVP of Marketing, Barry Westrum, said in the release "Our $5 Buck Lunch value meal has been a tremendous success and offers an irresistible every day reward for our fans. Through this promotion, fans that literally bring home the bacon have a chance to also take home $5,000."

One grand-prize winner will be randomly selected and awarded $5,000. Second prize is a $5 Buck Lunch per week for a year (a $260 DQ gift card) and third prize is one $5 Buck Lunch per month for a year (a $60 DQ gift card).

The DQ $5 Buck Lunch is available daily from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at participating locations.
