Dallas gets dunked in Dunkin's

December 8, 2016

Dunkin' Donuts has signed an agreement with four existing franchise groups to open 65  restaurants in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, including Dallas, Collin and Tarrant counties. That means the Dallas area will soon have about the same number of the stores as currently exist in the entire state of Texas.

According to a company press release, the company  has 110 Texas outlets, but if it adds 65 new locations to Dallas-Fort Worth, that area will  have 100 sites. Some of the new stores will also be multi-brand locations with sister ice cream brand, Baskin-Robbins.

The four franchise groups and their development plans include:
•    Quality Brand Dallas: This group  has 10 Dallas-Fort Worth locations but will add 35 more, including some with Baskin-Robbins.
•    Anju Donuts of South Dallas:This group will open 15  Dunkin' Donuts restaurants, including several with Baskin-Robbins. It also acquired eight existing restaurants in the area, and the group operates three units in Houston and two in Beaumont, Texas
•    Dallascious Donuts: This company, led by Hitesh Patel, will open 10  Dunkin' Donuts restaurants, including three with Baskin-Robbins, in Dallas-Fort Worth. It also acquired 10 locations and has 22 units in South Florida.
•    WF Donuts LLC:The group will open five  Dunkin' Donuts restaurants, including two with Baskin-Robbins. It will also open three other sites in Wichita Falls, Texas.

The first stores opening under these agreements will begin business next year, according to the release. Dunkin' Donuts began its Texas growth phase in November with an opening in Euless, but opportunities are available across the state.

"We believe we can eventually grow our presence in Dallas-Fort Worth to around 100 Dunkin' Donuts restaurants and are thrilled that these four highly-qualified and existing operators have committed to growing both the Dunkin' Donuts and Baskin-Robbins brands over the next several years," said Dunkin' Brands CFE and Vice President  of Global Franchising and Business Development Grant Benson. "As we look to grow to 1,000 Texas restaurants over the long-term, we are looking for qualified candidates with foodservice, operations and real estate experience to join our team."
