Dec. same-store sales rise at CKE

CARPINTERIA, Calif. —Blended same-store sales at Hardee's and Carls' Jr. parent CKE Restaurants Inc. rose 1.2 percent for the four weeks ended Dec. 31, 2007, the company announced.
Carl's Jr. same-store sales rose 2.7 percent for the period, while Hardee's dropped 0.6 percent.Year-to-date, same-store sales rose 1.2 percent, increasing 1.1 percent at Carl's Jr. and 2.2 percent at Hardee's.
During the period, Carl's Jr. promoted its Portobello Mushroom Six Dollar Burger and Huevos Rancheros Breakfast Burrito, while Hardee's promoted its Philly Cheesesteak Thickburger and Bacon Cheddar Fries.
