Del Taco launches new breakfast bowl

LAKE FOREST, Calif. — Del Taco has inaugurated an addition to its breakfast menu with a new Del Breakfast Bowl, launching it on the same day the new president takes office. A new bowl includes hash brown sticks, scrambled eggs and jalapeno bacon topped with chili, sour cream, cheddar cheese and cilantro.
The Del Breakfast Bowl will sell for just $2.99 and joins Del Taco's Big Fat Breakfast Taco, Steak and Egg Burrito and new Macho Roast coffee as Del Taco's breakfast offerings.
Consumer interest in breakfast on the go is rising. Recent research from Restaurants & Institutions' 2008 New American Diner Studyshows that one in five consumers always or often eats breakfast away from home, with that figure rising to one in three on the weekends.
