Del Taco plans 28 new Southeast locations

Del Taco has announced commitments for 28 new locations to open throughout the Southeast. Along with recently-opened restaurants in Columbus and Smyrna, Georgia, Del Taco will soon open its sixth Atlanta-area location in Marietta, along with a franchise owned restaurant, in Columbia, South Carolina, among others.  

"Strong sales at our Southeast restaurants demonstrate the enthusiasm and passion local residents have for Del Taco," Director of Franchise Development, Laura Tanaka, said in a news release. "As we continue to grow throughout the region, our focus is to provide our franchisees with the resources to deliver an exceptional dining experience, driving sales and guest satisfaction."

Leading the company's Southeast expansion is franchisee Clay Gullatt, who has an agreement to open three locations. Gullatt's first Del Taco, located in Columbus, Georgia, opened with record sales last month, the release said.
