Del Taco promos Crispy Shrimp LTO with Facebook coupon

Del Taco is promoting its limited-time-only Crispy Shrimp Taco with a downloadable coupon on its Facebook fan page. The coupon offers guests a free Del Taco Crispy Shrimp Taco with any purchase, now through April 15.
The Facebook coupon offer is good while supplies last and is valid at participating Del Taco locations. Guests who download the coupon can spread the news virally with a prompt to add a post about the coupon after they download it.
Del Taco also is featuring the LTO Crispy Shrimp Taco on the latest episode of the Del Taco Super Special Show, which runs on Facebook.
"The Crispy Shrimp Taco is one of our most popular promotions," John Cappasola, vice president of marketing for Del Taco, said in a news release.
The chain has sold nearly three quarters of a million of the tacos in the first few of weeks since its launch, he said.
The Crispy Shrimp Taco features delicious shrimp dipped in a lime chili batter plus shredded cabbage, secret sauce, freshly made salsa and a lime wedge, and sells for $1.89. The meal deal is priced at $5.99 and includes two Crispy Shrimp Tacos, crinkle-cut fries and a drink.
Additionally, Del Taco is continuing to serve two additional seafood menu item LTOs: shrimp and fries and fish and fries. The meal deal includes 10 pieces of shrimp and fries or two pieces of fish and fries with a drink for $4.99.
Del Taco first introduced seafood tacos with the launch of the Crispy Fish Taco in 2005. With a hand-breaded fish fillet, crunchy cabbage, hand-made salsa and secret sauce, Del Taco's Fish taco remains one of the most popular tacos served at the Mexican chain.
Taco Bell, the Mexican quick-serve leader, introduced its first seafood taco this spring. Taco Bell's LTO Pacific Shrimp Taco features six shrimp marinated in Mexican spices, crisp lettuce, freshly prepared salsa and avocado ranch sauce in a soft tortilla, priced at $2.79 at participating locations through April 11.
