Del Taco promotes SVP Gretzema to COO

Del Taco Restaurants, Inc. has promoted its former senior vice president for Strategic Planning and Innovation, Chad Gretzema, to COO. Gretzema has worked at the company for about 7 years having also previously served as senior vice president, operations support and engagement, a news release said. 

"Chad has been a key architect of many of our strategic combined solutions operational improvement efforts and is a trusted partner within the organization who knows how to help teams deliver superior results," Del Taco President and CEO John D. Cappasola, Jr., in the release. "He has also been a passionate voice, ensuring strong cross-functional franchise support and enabling our franchise partners to successfully grow their businesses."

Gretzema — who recently appeared on the QSRweb podcast to talk at length about the brand — also spent time earlier in his career serving in operations, training and marketing positions at Einstein Noah Restaurant Group, Noodles & Company and Oscar Mayer Foods, among others. Del Taco now has more than 580 restaurants across 14 states.
