SALT LAKE CITY — Del Taco restaurants in Utah completed a two-week fundraiser for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, raising $10,000 by selling paper $1 shoes. Customers put their name on the paper shoes that were then hung on the walls of the restaurant.
The West Salt Lake Del Taco, managed by Donna Lockhorst, raised the most money at $1,200. In total, more than 9,300 customers and employees contributed to the JDRF fundraiser.
