Del Taco rakes in funds for fire relief
December 13, 2007
LAKE FOREST, Calif. — Over a three-week period, Southern California consumers devoured more than 350,000 Del Taco Spicy Chicken Burritos, helping the company in its bid to raise more than $100,000 for fire relief efforts.
Del Taco will donate 25 cents from the sale of each Spicy Chicken Burrito sold until Christmas at Southern California company-owned Del Taco's and participating franchise restaurants.
"The response to our fire relief donation efforts has been tremendous, and we are grateful for every Spicy Chicken Burrito sold," said Shirlene Lopez, Del Taco's president and COO. "We know the fires have touched everyone in some way, and we all want to help."
