Del Taco selects disaster recovery data center

January 4, 2012

Phoenix NAP, a full service data center, premier Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) provider and primary network access point (NAP), announced that Del Taco has chosen the data center for its disaster recovery (DR) site. The restaurant chain cited Phoenix NAP's security and modern facility as key factors in the decision to place its DR solution with Phoenix NAP.

"Residing in one of the safest-from-natural-disaster cities in the United States, our facility is an ideal location for both primary and disaster recovery services, and we look forward to expanding our relationship with Del Taco," said Ian McClarty, president of Phoenix NAP.

With the likelihood of environmental catastrophes such as tornadoes, earthquakes, hurricanes and major flooding minimal to non-existent in the Phoenix metro area, Phoenix NAP is a prime location for DR.

"Phoenix Nap operates a modern facility which gives us a strong sense of security that our servers will always be functioning. Their dedicated 24/7 staff made our installation and transition experience problem-free," said James Howarth, director of Technical Services at Del Taco.

Phoenix NAP is a PCI DSS Validated Service Provider and a SAS 70 Type II certified facility.

Del Taco has more than 530 restaurants in 16 states.
