Del Taco tests mobile app in California capital

December 16, 2016

Del Taco is testing its Olo-developed mobile app in the Sacramento market, although the app is already available to download nationwide. With the tool, users can submit a dine-in or carry-out order (with customization available) and pay in advance for their food, according to a company news release. The app also shows area promotions, and can save prior orders, favorite menu items, and payment methods. Guest feedback from this initial test will be instituted before it is actually rolled out nationwide.

"Our mobile app further streamlines the ordering process so that our on-the-go guests can spend more time actually enjoying their meal," Noah Chillingworth, vice president of marketing for Del Taco, said in a news release.

The fast casual brand is offering a free Del Taco crunchy beef taco to guests in test markets who download the app and create an account. The offer is redeemable with an in-app or online at 14 locations in Sacramento and three in Orange County.
