Del Taco turns up the heat with Flamin’ Hot Queso lineup

Del Taco is teaming up with Cheetos Flamin' Hot for a limited-time menu, the company has announced in a news release. The items feature a new Flamin' Hot-flavored Queso across several of the chain's popular items.

The new queso combines Del Taco's queso blanco with the signature heat of Flamin' Hot and is featured on the Flamin' Hot Queso Beef Roller, Crispy Chicken Burrito, Loaded Fries, Epic Grilled Chicken Burrito and Loaded Nachos. Guests also can order the queso with chips or a 2-ounce bag of Cheetos Flamin' Hot Crunchy snacks.

"New FLAMIN' HOT flavored Queso adds an unmistakable flavor and signature heat to many popular Del Taco menu items," Noah Chillingworth, chief marketing officer at Del Taco, said in the release. "The best collaborations create something new while staying true to what guests already love, and the intense heat of FLAMIN' HOT flavored Queso does just that."

The launch is part of Del Taco's broader menu innovation strategy under Project Del Sunrise, which Chief Transformation Officer Ulyses Camacho said is focused on expanding the brand's innovation pipeline and improving brand relevance.
