The building that housed the world's first Taco Bell might soon be no more, according to the Downey Patriot.
The building is located at 7112 Firestone Blvd. in Downey, California. Taco Bell founder Glen Bell opened the first Taco Bell at the location in 1962.
The building most recently housed another independent restaurant, which closed its doors at the end of last year. The building is currently fenced off, according to the report.
A local preservation group is working to save the building.
